wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.12/VBoxGuestAdditions_4.3.12.iso
sudo mkdir /media/iso
sudo mount -o loop ./VBoxGuestAdditions_4.3.12.iso /media/iso
sudo bash /media/iso/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run --nox11
sudo umount /media/iso

@zbeekman Because it's already available at /usr/share/virtualbox/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso !

Thank you for that for providing a link to the ISO.

Was banging my head against the wall wasting time on all these supposed "non-GUI" tutorials always end up giving instructions on how to click on the menu option in the GUI.

Also, anyone ever known a repo (Debian is preferable) for installing the guest additions without having to install all the linux kernel building packages? trying to keep my VM guest light

Spoke too soon....seems there are some packages under the URI's folder... https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.12/ (most recent's at https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.2.18/)
