cv feedback
  • too much of redudant text (keep the technology list for each position in one place and add proficiency score)
  • quite a few bullet points are missing quantifiable results (highlight those which have and empasize the impact you've achieved)
  • better keyword matching for the role (ATS system do mostly keyword matching so make sure that the job ad matches the keyword in your CV - they dont string matching so for example, K8S and Kuberenetes are not the same thing)
  • bullet point color should be black so ATS system doesn't get confused while recognizing bullet points ... maybe instead of using this template bullet point which cant be selected in PDF just use a normal "*" character which can be selected properly inside the PDF
  • your previous role title was managerial but your technical achievements are from the individual contributor track (this is a potential red flag!) ... the way I solved this is to have 2 different CVs - one focused on the jobs I'm applying which are managerial and one which are IC
  • multiple job with overlapping dates (this is not good - ATS system have rules to exclude not perfect linear track record and growth showcase - for example, they search if you got promoted in the same company, if you followed the individual contributor track or you jumped betwen the tracks, etc)
  • prioritise only the most important achievements for each job role (if you are applying for another managerial position then only highlight managerial achievments, if your applying for IC role then highlight only IC achievements - keep mixing those two things to a minimum and show congruence between your job title and actual work you did)
  • try to formalise the achievements in 1 sentence where you have a format with challenge-action-result (with focus on quantifiable impact)
  • use BOLD on keywords within each achievement (people usually dont read those things so optimize for quick eye scan test)
  • improve the title track with Rezolve, it seems currently like you worked there for 4 years and got demoted with 1/2024 from senior devops to just devops (I know its different company but both of them have Rezolve in the name so its not obvious ... make the title look the same or even better for CV formating just merge those two into one)
