The workflow for salvaging a question
I still want answers, I do not want to just post my question again.

I still want answers, I do not want to just post my I would just ask the question, again.
And ask the question in venues other than StackExchange.
I mean, you clearly are still interested in an answer to your question. Never know where you can get multiple answers if you don't ask there.
Folks on this board are notorious for casting "down" votes.
Mod-squad is mod-squad. Can't count on two fingers any time mod-squad on any platform has admitted they were wrong.
I have never cast a single "down" vote for any post, question, or answer on any board, across platforms on the Interwebs. I'm just one individual human though, with my own individual policies for what I do and don't do.

6 "Folks on this board... I have never cast a single "down" vote for any post" and, with respect, that demonstrates that you don't understand the site... The sites aren't a "board", they're a Q&A. and not down voting on bad content is just as detrimental to the site as not up voting content you find helpful. You've also only ever raised 10 flags, so i don't really think you understand how the curation on the site works. – Thom A Commented16 hours ago
2 This is dangerous advice. In the early days of a user on the site re-asking a question more than likely results in having two poorly received questions contributing to a question ban. The server is utterly merciless, so don't do this unless you've built up some wiggle room with other well received content. – user4581301 Commented7 hours ago
