| <p>Anyone who follows both sites knows there are many areas of redundancies.  For example, the department in which I was a contract blogger for 13 weeks - AOL Jobs - looks like a goner.  Arianna Huffington created not only a niche on her own site dedicated to jobs.  She also published a book on Third World America.  That publication focused on the grim employment situation in the U.S. of A. </p> | |
| <p>Other areas to likely get hit include the news one.  HuffingtonPost.com was as quick on its feet as Matt Drudge in gaining access to breaking news and posting it pronto.</p> | |
| <p>My heart goes out to all the throw-backs at AOL.  The demand for digital content providers is exploding so they shouldn't be out of work for long.  In addition, they will have a nice war chest from being laid off.</p></description> | |
