Music ideas

  • some day, take a bunch of time off and just crank out black thread tape loop music with synth + gtr, what's there to lose? use the gear before it dies and get some massive release together
  • look into amp modeler software
  • do greensleeves etc in pure data or supercollider, or modplug, or ultraabox
  • try that krautrock 2 chord guitar idea, see mantra by stick men for interesting similar time signature thing
  • make an atmospheric mc 202 album like sonno from cortini

  • use the rotating spindles/pinch roller of a cassette recorder to agitate something like guitar strings by attaching paper to them, or to the cassette tape it's moving. could put a clicker of some sort into a cassette tape for modularity, mechanically activated by the pinch wheel, then change speed of tape player. either acoustic or contact mic capture sounds.
  • run a servo from raspberry pi and programmatically activate
  • run a pd patch controlled by a py socket that talks to a web server so audience can control pd remotely from their browser
  • record rain/owls on handheld in presidio
  • just intonation time after time
  • learn to circular breathe and blow bubbles or grass
  • use JS to fire console mouse/key events to automate online sound-making apps and make them do interesting things
  • soft static bandcamp (or GH netlabel)
  • pack small static sounds into .it tracker files, might need to programmatically generate the locations but should be very space efficient

    • serial 9Y01551 has intermittent weird RCA out (mono only? wasn't able to repro?) and a bad motor that can't fast forward and chokes on longer tapes (intermittent? could have just been the muntjac tape, or maurizio)
    • serial 0490329 has a dead track 1
    • serials 0610276 and 8Y00953 work well
