Climbing sickness - Diamox 250Mg - 4/day up to 3 days - Take 2 days before climbing - research more | |
Car sickness/vommiting - Metamide 10Mg - 1 as needed 3/day | |
Lung, skin, nose, throat antibiotic - Amoxycillin 500Mg - 3/day for at least 5 days + no alcohol - called doctor before using | |
Antihistamine - Loratadine (or Loraclear) 10Mg - 1/day as needed for insect bites or hayfever | |
Diarrheoa - Loperamide (or Imodium) 2Mg - As required 1/6 hours for prolonged diarrheoa, generally only if necessary (plane, bus) else it it pass | |
Malaria - Doxycycline 100Mg - 1/day + food + water for 3 days before until for 4 weeks after leaving area. Makes you susceptable to sunburn. | |
Electrolytes - Enerlyte - As required 3/day | |
Swelling, headache, muscle ache, other pain - Brufen/Ibuprofen 800mg - As required 2/day + food. 200mg is Neurofen, so this is strong | |
Stomach antibiotic, giardia - Metronidazole 200Mg - Was prescribed 400mg, so take double. 3/day immediately after food + no alcohol | |
Water purification tablets - 1/1 litre. need 4 hours, in the dark or an opaque bottle | |
