Enabling Yubikey for sudo on OSX

Intro

Primarily, I use TouchID for sudo authentication on OSX, but I also tend to be connected to a CalDigit TS3 Plus dock and external monitors with my laptop lid closed. TouchID does not work in that situation.

In my quest to have another solution I found the instructions from Yubikey[1][2]. Unfortunately, the instructions are not well laid out, with formatting issues and some necessary information just missing. I hope to rectify that with this document.

Prerequisites

This has been tested on MacOS 10.14.6 and should work on MacOS 10.15. This README assumes you are using Homebrew; it should be possible to configure everything w

Tainting and Labeling Kubernetes Nodes to Run Special Workload - A quick guide that is finally NOT confusing

All right folks, I intend to keep this one short and that's what I will do. I mean, it's supposed to be easy but the official documentations(1, 2) make it unnecessary confusing. So I think maybe I can help filling in the gap.

I will be using one of our business requirements at Buffer in this project, as the example for this blog post.

Quick recap

So, we need a few nodes that are dedicated to running cronjobs, and nothing else. At the same time we want to make sure the cornjobs are scheduled to these nodes, and nowhere else. This means we need 2 things

Tcpdump

Tcpdump is a commandline tool that is used to dump traffic on a network. This tool comes in hand when you want to analyse network captures within the command line. Basically it can do most of the wireshark job.

NOTE This guide might not be complete it just serve as a reference to me.

Applicability

The instructions below apply to older versions of Homebrew which still provide switch capability.

For current Homebrew, you'll likely need to keep Versions around, and build locally. Here's my versions repository https://github.com/rdump/homebrew-versions

MacPorts is now keeping versioned installations available as well, by default.
