One liner for deleting images from a v2 docker registry

One liner for deleting images from a v2 docker registry

Just plug in your own values for registry and repo/image name.

registry='localhost:5000'
name='my-image'
curl -v -sSL -X DELETE "http://${registry}/v2/${name}/manifests/$(
    curl -sSL -I \
        -H "Accept: application/vnd.docker.distribution.manifest.v2+json" \

Concise guide to golang/dep

Overview

This gist is based on the information available at golang/dep, only slightly more terse and annotated with a few notes and links primarily for my own personal benefit. It's public in case this information is helpful to anyone else as well.

I initially advocated Glide for my team and then, more recently, vndr. I've also taken the approach of exerting direct control over what goes into vendor/ in my Dockerfiles, and also work from isolated GOPATH environments on my system per project to ensure that dependencies are explicitly found under vendor/.

At the end of the day, vendoring (and committing vendor/) is about being in control of your dependencies and being able to achieve reproducible builds. While you can achieve this manually, things that are nice to have in a vendoring tool include:

Jenkinsfile idiosynchrasies with escaping and quotes
node {
echo 'Results included as an inline comment exactly how they are returned as of Jenkins 2.121, with $BUILD_NUMBER = 1'
echo 'No quotes, pipeline command in single quotes'
sh 'echo $BUILD_NUMBER' // 1
echo 'Double quotes are silently dropped'
sh 'echo "$BUILD_NUMBER"' // 1
echo 'Even escaped with a single backslash they are dropped'
sh 'echo \"$BUILD_NUMBER\"' // 1
echo 'Using two backslashes, the quotes are preserved'
sh 'echo \\"$BUILD_NUMBER\\"' // "1"

NGINX tuning for best performance

NGINX Tuning For Best Performance

For this configuration you can use web server you like, i decided, because i work mostly with it to use nginx.

Generally, properly configured nginx can handle up to 400K to 500K requests per second (clustered), most what i saw is 50K to 80K (non-clustered) requests per second and 30% CPU load, course, this was 2 x Intel Xeon with HyperThreading enabled, but it can work without problem on slower machines.

You must understand that this config is used in testing environment and not in production so you will need to find a way to implement most of those features best possible for your servers.

Create a job in Jenkins (or folder) using the HTTP API
# check if job exists
curl -XGET 'http://jenkins/checkJobName?value=yourJobFolderName' --user user.name:YourAPIToken
# with folder plugin
curl -s -XPOST 'http://jenkins/job/FolderName/createItem?name=yourJobName' --data-binary @config.xml -H "Content-Type:text/xml" --user user.name:YourAPIToken
# without folder plugin
curl -s -XPOST 'http://jenkins/createItem?name=yourJobName' --data-binary @config.xml -H "Content-Type:text/xml" --user user.name:YourAPIToken
# create folder

A python script for extracting email addresses from text files.You can pass it multiple files. It prints the email addresses to stdout, one address per line.For ease of use, remove the .py extension and place it in your $PATH (e.g. /usr/local/bin/) to run it like a built-in command.
