Google search is terrible

Google is an ad company, not a search company. Unsurprisingly, Google will always prioritise ad revenue over quality of content. For example:

Google search is full of ads (since a long time)
The search results themselves have gotten worse due to sites prioritising SEO over good content
- This is why when you search for a recipe, the top results include long narratives like the author's life history in relation to that recipe
Google's search algorithm uses ML and Google engineers no longer understand how it works
- This further has deteriorated the quality of search results
Google no longer allows users to access cached search results

SMS

Gammu/Wammu may not be able to retrieve dates for sent messages, only received messages.

MMS

MMS messages may not be able to be exported using Gammu/Wammu with some phones. If you don't see MMS in the exported messages, you may be able to save the message attachments to the phone's storage and copy them to a PC via a USB cable.

Summary

Older laptops support hardware (S3) sleep, which uses little to no battery power.
Newer laptops only support software (S0ix) sleep, which will gradually drain the battery over a period of a few days (although it can be less than a day in extreme cases).
If you have an older laptop (made before ~2020), your laptop may still support S3 sleep. See below for more information.
If your laptop doesn't support S3 sleep:
- Limit usage of sleep to short periods of time; otherwise, power off instead.
- Using the latest Linux kernel possible will provide benefits to sleep functionality as operating system support for S0ix sleep improves.
- Power off your laptop before putting it in a bag; laptops in S0ix sleep can get hot and the fan can even turn on.
