When the AMS course ends, a project report must be delivered.
This report will be used as the basic for the IT-AMS oral examination.
The main purpose of the report is to document the actual project work and has to be worked out in this way:
The report should not exceed 15 pages (figures and tables not included).
It shall be expressed in exact terms, have a good readability, and have the following as minimum contents:
Project overview (system description).
System description (block diagrams and figures are desirable).
The system architecture and user interface has to be clearly defined.
The technical considerations and choices made during the project work.
Advantages and disadvantages for the possible alternative solutions.
How the group has acquired the knowledge necessary to do the project work.
All test results. | |
Source references – including links to the internet, if any.
Conclusion. Also describe in what extent, the project goal has been met.
Relevant references to appendix (is to be enclosed at CD/DVD/USB key).
Eventually short video presenting the system test (at CD/DVD/USB key).
The report should be written primarily to the teacher, the examiner and yourself.
It is important to restrict the report extent, and only put the most relevant information.
Nevertheless, the report should present the project work in a very precise manner to the reader.
It is often good to make extensive use of figures and images (better than extensive text sections).
The report must be delivered in 2 identical copies (signed by all group members).
Data sheets, software source and other relevant material must be enclosed on CD/DVD/USB memory stick in both copies.
The CD must include a copy of the report itself and all relevant software files.
The report can be written in Danish or in English.
The deadline for handing in the reports is Friday 13th of March 10.00 (between 9.15 and 10.00 at HH’s office = Edison 301a). |
