Pipewire on Arch Linux (Gnome)

Those are the only instructions I need to run to have a fully working Pipewire setup that is compatible with PulseAudio, Jack and ALSA:

$ yay -Rcns pulseaudio-jack
# note that pipewire-jack-dropin is an AUR package
$ yay -S pipewire-{jack,jack-dropin,alsa,pulse}
$ systemctl --user enable pipewire pipewire-pulse pipewire-media-session
$ systemctl reboot
# done

#protonmail #debian #linux

Before you start

Currently protonmail bridge for linux is distributed as part of an open beta program, but soon it will be made public (https://protonmail.com/bridge/install).

Consider that the bridge linux client requires a paid protonmail account to work.

Emacs as an Org capture server

Emacs as an Org capture server

The Concept

The general idea is to run an Emacs server as a daemon which clients can quickly connect to via a bash script. The client executes org-capture and the frame closes upon finalizing or aborting the capture.

Running a server daemon

The first step is to get an Emacs daemon running as a server with your name of choice. For this example, I’m going to use “capture” as the server name.
